What is PEMF Therapy?
PEMF Therapy uses low-frequency electromagnetic waves to stimulate and support the body at a cellular level. Every cell in the body has an electrical charge that drives its ability to take in nutrients, eliminate waste, and communicate with other cells. Over time, stress, injury, illness, or aging can cause these cells to lose their natural charge — making it harder for the body to repair and regulate itself. PEMF therapy gently recharges these cells by delivering targeted electromagnetic pulses that mimic the natural frequencies of the Earth. This helps the body restore its own energy, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation — all without pain, medication, or invasive procedures.
At Wholistic Pet Care, PEMF therapy can be delivered in two ways — each designed to meet your pet’s individual needs and comfort level.
PEMF Mat Therapy
During a mat session, your pet simply lies or sits on a soft, comfortable mat that emits gentle electromagnetic pulses. These pulses travel throughout the body, reaching deep into muscles, tissues, bones, and organs. This full-body approach helps to:
Most pets quickly settle in and often drift into a calm, restful state during mat sessions.
Targeted PEMF Loop Therapy
For more focused support, we also use a handheld PEMF loop device that allows us to target specific areas — such as sore joints, the neck, hips, or back. The loop delivers concentrated pulses directly to the area in need, promoting faster recovery, reducing pain, and easing localized inflammation.
This same loop can also be fitted into a comfortable collar, making it a wonderful option for pets who experience anxiety or stress. The gentle, rhythmic pulses can help soothe the nervous system, encouraging calm and balance without the use of medication.

Because PEMF Therapy interacts with the body at a cellular level and can influence circulation, inflammation, and tissue repair, it is important that each pet’s individual health status is considered before starting treatment.
At Wholistic Pet Care, PEMF sessions require authorization from your primary veterinarian (DVM). This ensures that therapy is safe, appropriate, and compatible with your pet’s current health conditions, medications, and treatment plan.
Our goal is to work in partnership with your veterinary team, supporting your pet’s wellness through a collaborative, integrated approach. Once authorization is received, we can tailor a PEMF plan specifically for your pet’s needs — whether for recovery, mobility support, anxiety relief, or ongoing wellness.
